  • Join the EFIMED Week 2016 this autumn (7-9 November) in Calabria, southern Italy. This year´s event is titled: Smart Mediterranean Forestry, bioeconomy and social integration. With the help of scientists, practitioners and civil society it will be explored how Mediterranean forests could better contribute to the creation of livelihoods, jobs and social opportunities for marginalised groups, while also helping address other key challenges.

This conference will be held from 19 to 23 of September, 2016 in Antwerp, Belgium and aims to link science, policy and practice on ecosystem services and natural capital.

  • “Embracing Estuaries – Management of Natura 2000 sites in Estuaries and Sea Ports”, a two-day workshop taking place on 15 and 16 September 2016, in Hamburg, Germany will be a vital part of the Biogeographical Process of the Atlantic Region. The workshop’s main goal is to encourage dialogue between scientists, practitioners and policymakers, and to encourage their collaboration on the challenges of managing Natura 2000 sites and implementing management plans in estuaries and sea ports.
